Burma Shave Nostalgia

In the 1930’s and 1940’s, before the invention of freeways
and highways, everyone drove the old 2 lane roads. Burma Shave
signs were posted along farmers’ fields. There were five small red
signs with white letters, about 100 feet apart. Each contained
1 line of a 4-line couplet and the 5th sign advertised
Burma Shave, a popular shaving cream.
